This page was last edited on 29 Aprilat Overclocking the Duron The bad about this is that it's not bent over when the board is unpacked, it's standing straight up. The one thing that needs improving on all socket-A motherboards is jt7 mechanism for clamping the heat sink on the processor.

The system was able to deliver over 60 frames per second at x in bit color. That was a MicroATX motherboard that didn't impress me much. While we never noticed any instability that was caused by the lack of a fan on the chip, ABIT did much more than simply stick a fan on the heatsink to make the board look "cool.
The KT7 has kg7 fan and heat sink on the Northbridge of the VIA chipset, which should help keep things cool if you decide to overclock the front side bus.
As obvious as it seems, the whole difference between these boards is the incorporation of the HPT controller chip from HighPoint Technologies. Over the course of 4 days of testing, the system hung only once at MHz.
Review: ABIT KT7 Raid - Mainboard -
This is the coolest thing to happen to overclocking in years. So depending on what the different benchmarks are stressing, the ATA RAID array can offer very competitive performance under the right conditions.

There's little documentation included that mentions anything about what that little blue nub is, or what to do with it so people building a system for the first time could experience some major problems early on. This is a good and bad thing.
The KT7 motherboard was exceptionally stable using multiplier overclocking. I tested Direct 3-D performance using 3-D Mark ver. Because of the price point of the KT7-RAID, and the fact that many users would like to run the more cost effective Duron processors on the board, we would've rather had ABIT leave out the fan if it did in fact drop the retail price of the motherboard since there isn't really a need for it although it doesn't hurt to have.
It needs to be reworked to make it easier to latch and unlatch the clamp without endangering components on the motherboard.

Multicore, dual-core, and the future of Intel. However, bus overclocking with AMD processors is often less successful due to the stringent timing requirements of the EV6 bus.
In some benchmarks it's performance was admirable, but in real-world disk to disk or directory to directory copy tests, the performance did not even equal that of lone ATA66 drives running on the standard onboard IDE controllers. The ATX power supply connector is placed where it should be, at the very right abkt of the motherboard, allowing you to minimize the distance you have to stretch the ATX power cable from your PSU, thus decreasing the number of obstructions in your case that would decrease airflow.

Maybe it was the fact that a slot-based CPU interface leaves quite a bit of room seemingly unoccupied around it for heatsink clearancebut looking at the KT7-RAID's layout you quickly notice that aabit design is much more "busy" than its predecessor.
Typhoon Rising game review.
Dell Latitude D laptop review. And with all the mystery surrounding when the new DDR-capable AMD systems will actually be available, it's nice to know that very fast, very affordable systems can be had right now.
New drivers may improve future performance. Not really a big deal, but certainly something that could be better designed.

It's good since it ensures that you're getting good and clean power to the CPU to ensure maximum stability. Chris Sawyer's Locomotion review. I've used both of these boards the KT7 and RAID version and can tell you that unsurprisingly all else being equal, these boards perform equally well.
