I think the the HP Wireless button and Windows 7 32 bit have a compatibility issue. And I'm quite depressed about the inability of HP, its support-employees and their update-policy So, there are a few steps to take, to get your Wlan running again. So here we go:. I tried the toshiba drivers before hand and still could not get the wireless to switch on!! In reply to Mike Hall How satisfied are you with this response? In my case it connects faster than any other driver found on the internet i also tested the ones from the Czech inofficial Atheros website If I can't find a driver there it just can't be found. I suspect the Windows energy options of deactivating the wireless card, but I'm not sure.

So every time this problem occurs, one has to install HP's assistant to get rid of this annoying bug. There is a wireless driver for Windows 7 bit here. Here is a link to the best source for Atheros drivers I have ever located.
